Restaurant Columnist & Guest at Kaplan/Bruno Wedding

I had the pleasure of attending Kelvy and Eric Bruno's wedding and reception at Benvenuto. It was a delightful event.

Allow me to congratulate you on the superbly unique handling of the wedding from beginning to end. It appeared organized to the Nth degree and flowed seamlessly. By virtue of my background, I feel capable of making professional judgments. My parents were in the restaurant and catering business for a great many years and I have, at various times, written columns on fine dining for many newspapers and other publications.

The food and service after the wedding itself were wonderful. The bar was very accessible and the bartenders were knowledgeable and prompt in the delivery of requested drinks, mixed or straight. The hors d'oeuvres were both varied and very tasty suggesting that the upcoming dinner might be quite a special event.

From the time we found our tables and sat, we began to see unfolding before us a very well-trained, rehearsed and accomplished staff. Their mission was to cater to the needs of their guests and to deliver in a timely manner each course and beverage. This they did stunningly well. It was a pleasure to watch the placement of the entrees in unison, removing from the guests any obligation to delay the eating of that portion of the meal until service was completed.

The piece de resistance was obviously the entrees. I thoroughly enjoyed the rack of lamb and joined with my dining companions in discussing and praising each of the items on the menu. With the other choices of Chateaubriand, Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass and Shrimp/ Scallop/Spinach and Basil Risotto which I shamelessly tasted from others' plates, 1 was positively convinced that there was no more superb dining experience available in the South Florida area without going to only a handful of the very finest restaurants.

In short, I congratulate you on providing a very memorable occasion for myself and my friends who attended the wedding.

Mother of the Bride

Our daughter Maureen lives in Virginia Beach but we still wanted to have the wedding here in Florida, so it was up to "Mom and Dad" to take care of all the arrangements. We looked everywhere but after visiting Benvenuto our decision was made. We gave them our deposit on the spot because they gave us complete confidence that our daughter would just love it. With professionals like Christian and Lu in charge, we had no need for a wedding planner. They recommended the band, photographer, videographer and even the accommodations for all of our out-of-town guests. Everyone had such a good time that we received "Thank You" letters from our guests thanking us for inviting them to the best wedding reception they had every attended. Benvenuto treated us just like family and now we go there for dinner regularly.
